Chapungu Luxury Tented Camp in South Africa is furnished in authentic colonial splendour, handpicked pieces enhance the ambience and comforts typical of a bygone era. The lodge also boasts a rock pool, a curio shop, a boma (grass hut) and a dining area.
Because of the renovations done to Chapungu Luxury Tented Camp, the camp now boasts 8 en-suite luxury tents. The tents boast overhead ceiling fans, tea and coffee making facilities, private decks and air-conditioning. The main buildings are under thatch but all of the rooms are canvas tent structures.
At Chapungu Luxury Tented Camp guests will be able to go on game drives to view the Big Five roaming the 12 000 hectare reserve. After a exciting day in the wild, guests can then feast on a delicious 3 course dinner complemented by fine South African wine or for something different why not enjoy a boma braai (barbeque), served buffet style.

Eastbound out of Johannesburg take the N4 to Witbank, bypass Middelburg and then turn left off the N4 to Belfast - proceed to Dullstroom and Lydenburg - R36 to Ohrigstad and Strijdom Tunnel - R531/R527 to and through Hoedspruit to junction. Turn right, Klaserie direction. After 6km, turn left into Argyle Road and follow Thornybush signboards to Thornybush Game Reserve.
